U.S. Army awards $4.9M performance-based acquisition for Installation Cleanup

Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. - On April 19, 2007, the U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) awarded a $4.9M performance-based contract to North Wind Incorporated of Idaho Falls, Idaho, for environmental remediation services at Haines-Fairbanks Pipeline Alaska.

The 8(a) Small Business Set Aside contract was awarded by the Alaska Regional Contracting Office, Fort Richardson, Alaska. The five-year contract includes performance objectives for four Installation Restoration Program sites. The performance objectives call for achieving cleanup at three sites by the beginning of March 2009, and at one site by the beginning of March 2011. In addition, long-term management will be conducted at one site for the duration of the contract.
