Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD - The U.S. Army Environmental Center awarded a $6.676M performance-based task order on August 21, 2006, to Shaw Environmental, Inc., in Trenton, New Jersey, for environmental remediation services at Fort McClellan-Army National Guard, Alabama.
During the ten-year contract, Shaw Environmental, Inc. proposes to conduct active treatment of three site plumes (on Pelham Range) of chlorinated volatile organic compounds in groundwater using in-situ anaerobic bioremediation followed by monitored natural attenuation. Shaw proposes to remediate the fourth site (on the Fort McClellan Enclave) through monitored natural attenuation.
The task order was awarded on the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract administered by the Army Contracting Agency, Aberdeen Proving Ground Directorate of Contracting. The performance objectives call for achieving Remedy-in-Place (RIP) at four sites: two sites by the end of September 2008; one site by the end of September 2009; and one site by the end of September 2010.
