U.S. Army awards $6.2M performance-based acquisition for Installation Cleanup

Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. - On January 26, 2007, the U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) awarded a $6.2M performance-based task order to Environmental Chemical Corporation of Burlingame, CA for environmental remediation services at Fort Eustis and Fort Lee.

The Fort Eustis/Fort Lee task order was awarded on the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract administered by the Army Contracting Agency, Aberdeen Proving Ground Directorate of Contracting. The ten-year task order includes performance objectives for twelve environmental restoration sites. At Fort Eustis, the performance objectives call for achieving cleanup at one site by the end of September 2007, at two sites by the end of March 2008, at one site by the end of September 2008, and at two sites by the end of September 2009. At Fort Lee, the performance objectives call for achieving cleanup at two sites by the end of September 2008, and at four sites by the end of March 2009. In addition, Long-Term Management will be performed at sites at both installations, as necessary.
