![]() The U.S. Army Environmental Command's (USAEC) IPM in Child Development Centers (CDCs) and Schools mission is to reduce pesticide risks to school- and preschool-age children on Army installations. The program is one of many Army initiatives supporting its ongoing commitment to Soldier quality of life that extends to families who live, work, learn and play on Army installations. Initiated and piloted by pest management experts at USAEC, the program specifically works to implement IPM principles at schools and child development centers on Army installations. It is patterned after proven state and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency initiatives and techniques that limit pesticide exposure risks for school- and reschool-age children in institutional environments.
