The Army Earth Day theme is Restore Our Earth

The Army joins the nation in observing more than 50 years of Earth Day on April 22.  Earth Day events across the Army highlight how the Army is helping "Restore Our Earth" by taking proactive measures to enhance environmental resources.

Environmental stewardship goes hand-in-hand with Army readiness and modernization and ensures installations have the infrastructure needed for training, mobilization and deployment.  Effective stewardship of the Army's natural resouce ensure access, use and continued capability of ready and resilient installations to support the national defense mission.

The Army is taking action to safeguard training lands to ensure Soldiers have the realistic training environment needed to fight and win our nations wars.  By examing the effects of climaate change, the Army can use its findings to modernize and improve installations to ensure we can project power while protecting and caring for Soldiers, Families and Army civilians.

Each year the Army develops an Army Earth Day poster and distributes it across the globe Army-wide. If you ordered posters this year, they should be at your installation.  If you have not received them, please call 443-243-0313 and we will help track them down for you.
